"Barney," as he is fondly called, is an IT professional from a Satellite service company and it is his first time to own a DSLR. A newbie (still learning about compositions, lighting, metering, DOF, etc.), he started with a Pentax point and shoot film camera and later upgraded to a Pentax Optio. It was a cousin, who uses a Canon 350D that got him interested in photography. Amazed at his cousin's photos but finding the Canon 350D too expensive at that time, his interested depleted. In 2007, another friend, also with a Canon 350D persuaded him to buy a DSLR. Originally eyeing a Nikon D40, he would learn about Pentax in the Digital Photographer of the Philippines (DPP) online forum. Reading threads about Pentax, he went to Camerahaus to test one and fell in love with it. "I love it...I love it's features, the amazing Pentax stories from the pros, and lastly I love the local Pentax users (will feel you are so welcome) :-) makes me say This is where I belong. hehehe :) Still lots of things to learn :-)" |
