About Us |
|
We, Pinoy Pentaxians, are a puerile pack of passionate photographers, looking to pursue and peruse great photographs. Us Pinoy Pentaxians are a diverse group of individuals with but one single thing in common: the love for photography in all its forms. We have in our fold a pastor, a priest, an almost pastor (and an almost priest as well), a bodybuilding polyglot, a master sweet, lovers, musicians, computer geeks, students, bums, and of course, master lensmen. Though as hard to imagine how such a ragtag group of individuals get together, it is much harder to imagine this same group to NOT get together. Every event is an EB opportunity. Whether it be a well planned shoot in some obscure historical site, to impromptu meet ups in overpriced coffee shops, any chance to meet and shoot is a chance almost always taken. All Pinoy Pentaxians get along well together…no one is left out. Why is it that Pinoy Pentaxians bond so easily? Maybe it's because we are a dying breed? Or maybe it's because our more commercial counterparts look down on us with a querying eye, "Why Pentax?" thus prompting us to stick together like an abscondance of fleas, a battery of barracudas, a clowder of cats, a parliament of rooks, a conspiracy of ravens, or a murder of crows? (A pandemonium of Pentaxians perhaps?) Maybe it's because we are all just so freakishly good looking? No, we Pinoy Pentaxians are driven by the passion and the art, the life and the capturing of it, the form and the function of it.

| You're a Pentaxian. A loyalist. A diehard. You once carried a K1000 around with you everywhere, only reluctantly setting it down to take the occasional shower. You tell your kids bedtime stories about those heady days when the camera known simply as "The Pentax" was the best-selling SLR made. You don't spend countless hours pixel peeping. You just take pictures. And while you may be tempted, on occasion, to turn to a stranger on an elevator and say, "the best auto-focus SLR lens ever made is the Pentax 31mm F/1.8," you'd really rather be using your equipment than talking about it. Pentax understands that cameras don't take pictures, photographers do. Our new digital SLRs are the result of listening to Pentaxians and delivering tools for true photography lovers. These cameras are already creating many more loyalist. So the question is: can those newcomers count themselves among the diehards? Hey, we're Pentaxian |
